- Q. What days are you open?
A. Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday closed
- Thursday 9am - 2:30pm
- Friday 9am - 5pm
- Saturday 8:30am - 5pm
- Sunday at Fresh Fido in Mission (8am to 5pm)
- Q. How do I book an appointment for Boarding or Cat Grooming?
A. I only book appointments through my cell phone. Text or call 604.813.7877. Fastest response is by texting.
I cannot always answer calls as I may be busy with a cat at the moment you call
- Q. Why do you bath the cats?
Contrary to common belief, domestic cats do need baths especially all long haired breeds. Cats tend to have a lot of oils
in their coat which collects dust and debris.
Cats also have dander which build up on the skin and, just like us, these need to be removed in order to maintain healthy skin and hair.
If not removed, bacteria can grow on the skin which, in time, may cause a host of issues.
- Q. During the grooming, can you just shave or give my cat a lion clip with no bath?
Yes, but I prefer not to! Clipping a dirty, unbrushed coat can and will cause issues. The dead coat needs to be removed form the hair
follicles. If left in place, it damages the follicle and tends to cause skin problems.
- Q. Do you do lion clips?
Yes, I don't like to clip short haired, triple coated or a coat that is smooth with a shine to it (guard hair).
When this type of coat gets clipped, it can damage the hair shaft of the guard hair which can lead to alopecia. If the coat is badly matted, we might not
have a choice and be forced to clip it but a bath and massage tends to help preserve the follicle somewhat.
